Totally Random:
OMG it has been a long time since I’ve been on here. I just wanted to pop in to
say hi, Happy Holidays and to let everyone know what’s been up in my krazy
life. My Thanksgiving was awesome we had
a blast. There was lots of fun and drinking and family and fun and did I say
fun? Yea we had a blast! I did not cook all the men cooked (I know right) so I
got to sit on my ass and do absolutely nothing and it felt great. Since being a stay at home mom for the past
two months, I have been couponing hard core. I did it a two years ago when I
first learned but cut back because my hubby said I was becoming obsessed…maybe,
but we have not bought any paper towel, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, bath
soap, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes and toothpaste, lotion, or laundry
detergent for the past two years. So I will happily take obsessed. Now my stockpile is…well was pretty much nonexistent
so I’m building it back up. So far I
have 32 boxes of cereal that I paid 34.17 for, 12 All brand laundry detergent
that I paid $4 for ( dang I wished I had more coupons for that sale) Albertson
was closing and everything was 75% off. I
have 10 ragu pasta sauce, and 16 progression meal starters. And that’s pretty
much the bulk of my stockpile everything is like in 4’s so… but I am excited
that my coupons come tomorrow and I’m going to get (40) 4 packs of Angel soft
toilet tissue (I prefer Charmin but hey) oh and here’s a tip : if you want
extra coupons try eBay that’s where I get all my extra coupons from. And now
time for my big news…well not really big but I’m excited about it. I have a
crush on Dave Ramsey! No really he totally rocks my socks! I discovered him
last Friday and it was love at first sight. I read his totally money makeover book
and decided to try the (7) baby steps. I
sat down with the hubby told him I was now taking over the money and told him
my plan (based off the book). After some
number crunching I realized that if we stick to it, which we will, then in 14 months we will be
COMPLETELY debt free!!!!! And I am excited about that possibly becoming our
reality. I’m still in awe like no freaking way because it’s kinda a large
number. Without giving you the exact number its between $30-50k (student loans
are the devil) they take up most of our debt. My quote for the month is “Live like no other,
so later you can live like no other” -Dave Ramsey. Im also signing up for www.emeals.com have any of you used that site?
It seems pretty cool and is supposed to help save money on the grocery bill so I’m
all for it. Well that’s my update in a nutshell hope you all are having an
awesome holiday season, ttyl!
